Our solution lay in a complete redesign, providing significant benefits over existing technology, including:
An inclined drum which allows:
- prescreening of raw material to remove dirt and gravel
- a significantly larger screening area
- 100% dynamic screening process, improving product quality
- prescreening, reducing wear and fuel consumption
- fully enclosed operation, preventing dangerous projectiles escaping
- single pass in spec hog
- simple, external screening grates, easily changed or repaired
A vertical plane, angled disc which:
- reduces jamming or damage from foreign or fibrous materials
- dissipates impact shocks easily
- allows ease of maintenance, as both sides are accessible
- minimises fines, producing high quality , long fibre hog fuel
- utilises the inertia of cut product to create a "closed loop" screening process
- allows product to access both sides of disc, with minimum rubbing
- minimises catastrophic damage from tramp steel by directing it away from disc
- provides minimum wear with maximum tooth contact
- causes minimum energy loss as only the lower portion is in the product
- creates a tearing action, doesn't rely on sharp knives that become blunt
- utilises the WoodWeta one man "Vernier Nut" retention system
Reversible, rebuildable teeth which :
- offer an unprecedented 5 times holding/cutting area ratio
- have a large, curved holding surface, easily dissipating cutting forces
- utilise a double wedge design, securing them in all 3 dimensions
- use a simple bolt and nut to retain them, no sledge hammers required
- fit into a round bore, easily field repaired if damaged
- are sacrificial and shear off cleanly in the event of severe impact
Simple, rugged drive system which :
- employs large, multiple vee banded belts with steel spoked pulleys
- utilises an automatic, hydraulic belt tensioner
- utilises an exchangeable, enclosed oil-filled arbour assembly
-unique WoodWeta hydraulic "Soft Start ", eliminates clutch wear on start-up
Pivoting out feed belt which :
- keeps belt complete, doesn't fold, to keep belt in alignment
- allows very high discharge height while staying legal on hi-way
